SIPADAN-MABUL RESORT is a land base resort has 22 standalone chalets also categorized as detached (16 units twin-bed and 6 units double bed with built up size 22X28ft)

SUITE CHALET

SIPADAN-MABUL RESORT is a land base resort has 3 suite chalets (double bed - built up size 28X31ft and 34X34ft), which could accommodate 6 guests at any one time.

MABUL WATER BUNGALOW

MABUL WATER BUNGALOW is a floating dive-resort with 16 wooden-type bungalows (built up size 40X23ft), 12XDouble Bed & 4XTwin Bedded, entirely built over water with stilts.

SIPADAN Packages enable 1 (one) day-trip permit to Sipadan Island.

(excluding conservation and permit fee RM 486/diver & RM412/non-diver per day to be paid at the resort by cash

Only certified Advanced Diver will be allowed for 2 boat dives at Sipadan Island.

PACKAGES INCLUDES 

* Transfer between: Tawau - Semporna Jetty – Mabul - Tawau by van and speedboat

* Accommodation on twin-sharing basis with attached bathroom and the facilities of hot shower and the comfort of air-conditioning 

* All food and hot beverage while at the resort (excluding alcoholic, fruit juice and carbonated soft drinks)

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT

To add surcharge 50% on top of the above prices for single occupancy of a 2-bed bungalow

ADDITIONAL INCLUSION FOR CERTIFIED DIVER

* 3 boat combinations dives per day with dive master either on Mabul, Kapalai or nearby Island (Except on arrival and departure day)

* Unlimited jetty diving from Mabul House Reef with buddy

* Use of tanks with air, weights and weight belt

TOURISM TAX all non-Malaysians are required to pay the tax. It will be charged at a flat rate of RM10 per room per night payable in cash at the resort upon check out.

CHILDREN POLICY

The following conditions apply to all NON-DIVING children:

Infants up to 3 years old are Free of Charge. The infant must stay in the same chalet as the parents; a baby cot will be provided free of charge if prior arrangement is made.

Children 4 to 11 years who are NON-DIVERS are chargeable at children rate (please refer price list). They must stay in the same chalets with the parents, an extra bed will be provided in each chalet. Children rate is based on the year of birth.

Any children who are a certified diver, no matter what age, and will be diving must pay full divers rates. PARENTS ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES. SMART does not have and cannot provide any babysitting services for children nor will SMART bear any responsibility for anything that might befall said children.

FOC POLICY

Group leader FOC trip to Sipadan-Mabul Resort / Mabul Water Bungalows (ex-Tawau) for every 10 paying guests. Example: 10 full paying guests, 1 FOC; 20 full paying guests, 2 FOCs.

Please note this is not to be used by grouping pax together to form a group, as these leaders will be responsible for all liaisons between said group's issues outside of where SMART's responsibilities lie. The name(s) of the group leader must be advised to us before arrival.

Please note the FOC offer for the group/tour leader inclusive of accommodation on twin share, meals, transfers and diving together with the group member. Any unused complimentary services/facilities cannot be exchanged for cash rebate and/or carried forward.

Other expenses eg. entry permit and diving services to Sipadan Island, night dive, extra dive, usage of Nitrox Air (if any), juice, soft drink, alcohol, rental equipment and etc are to be paid at the resort.

HOW TO GET THERE

Take a domestic flight to Tawau Airport, Sabah, Malaysia. You will be met and transferred to Semporna Jetty by van (approx. 1-hour drive) and finally, transferred to Mabul Resort by speedboat (approx. 40 minutes boat ride).

The UNLIMITED JETTY DIVING mentioned in the inclusion are dives from Mabul House Reef and includes night diving (without dive master and boat). Tanks, weights and weight belt are provided; all other equipment must be brought by the diver or rented. These dives must be arranged in advance.

NOTICE OF ENTRY PERMIT & DIVING AT SIPADAN ISLAND

The 1 day guaranteed trip is only applicable for divers who purchase the Sipadan package. Each diver can only do 2 boat dives a day and must be a certified Advanced Open Water Diver.

This guaranteed trip does NOT include the entry permit and conservation fee.

The fee of the above mentioned is RM 486 (Inclusive of 8% service tax) per person per day for divers.

Whilst for non-divers and children has to pay conservation fee @ RM 412 (Inclusive 8% service tax) per person per day including boat transfer.

If you need an additional day to Sipadan or your package is under Non Sipadan, you may check with our dive team when you arrive at the resort, if any day trip to Sipadan is available to book. You may pay the extra fee at the resort - for Diver is RM 789 net and for Non Diver is RM 412 net (per person per day).
