Should definitely mention about the chef. 
I am a vegetarian, so was very skeptical about the food options in an island. From the time we informed the hotel about the requirement, they gave me tasty vegetarian food for all meals. Really appreciate their efforts. 
I wanted personally to thank the chef. Please inform this to the hotel.

LANKAYAN ISLAND DIVE RESORT

Thanks to your quick help with the logistics after the airasia issue, otherwise the whole thing would have been spoilt.
Water chalets are good, except for the aircond situation. Wasnt cold except for a few hours at night. Either needs servicing / hp isnt sufficient for the space. Also, the aircond had wooden slats covering it, further hampering the air-flow.
Food was better than expected.
Other than aircond issue, all was great.

Sepilok Orangutan & Sunbear Rehabilitation Centre: Very well organized conservatories!

We enjoyed the Sipadan dives so much but not the Mabul dives. SWV is quite old already, food is so so and the room is so warm even at night we sweat while sleeping… But the service is very good especially their diving DMs, super good. Everyone enjoyed becoz of them.

THE REEF, MATAKING ISLAND RESORT

The island is beautiful with clear waters. The resort has unique features such as a turtle hatchery, and the release of turtle hatchlings from time to time. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were warm and extremely helpful, often going out of their way to make the stay of guests comfortable.
